NICARAGUA
In 1984 a filmmaker friend and I arrived in Managua to do research for a film about the role of women in the revolution which overthrew Somoza in 1979. While most of our two week trip was spent in meetings, I escaped now and then, making new friends who put up with my Spanish and my camera!
